Ponchos already existed in the pre-inca culture and they are still around us with several transformations since then. The poncho already existed since 500 B.C. in the area where now is Bolivia, Chile, Peru and Ecuador where ponchos are still a typical garment. It has always been a piece of clothing designed with the purpose of keeping your body warm and afterwards to keep your body dry from the rain. Faced with the current poncho’s offer in the market Futah decided it was time to revolutionize ponchos as well as to create a poncho that can be used as a Surf Poncho so surfers can have all the comfort they need or to be used as a poncho beach towel so you can stand out from the crowd in the beach. Our ponchos fabric and patterns we also created so you can also use them in a cold night, at a bonfire at the beach or take it to a festival.
